Can RAPHA-groW™ 100 Liquid burn my plants?

Risk of Nutrient Burn:

Nutrient burn occurs when plants receive too many nutrients, particularly nitrogen, phosphorus, or potassium, leading to damage to their roots and foliage. While RAPHA-groW100 (vermicast extract) is generally considered safe for plants due to its organic nature, using it in concentrated forms without proper dilution can lead to nutrient burn.

  • Dilution is Key: To prevent burning your plants, it is essential to dilute RAPHA-groW™ 100 (vermicast extract) before application. A common recommendation is to mix one part RAPHA-groW™ 100 (vermicast extract) with at least 20 parts water. This dilution helps ensure that the nutrient levels are appropriate for plant uptake without overwhelming them.
  • Soil Moisture Considerations: Ensuring that the soil has adequate moisture before applying any fertilizer can help mitigate risks associated with nutrient burn.
  • Conclusion: In summary, while RAPHA-groW™ 100 (vermicast extract concentrate) has many benefits for plant health and growth, improper use—particularly through insufficient dilution or excessive application—can indeed lead to nutrient burn. Therefore, always dilute the extract appropriately and monitor your plants’ responses after fertilization.
Is RAPHA-groW™ pet friendly ?

  • Seed inoculation : Add 5ml concentrate per kg seeds. Seeds only to be coated and not soaked. Seeds pre-coated need to be pre-washed thoroughly.
  • Transplanting seedlings , shrubs and trees dilute 1:20 with water.
  • Hydroponic & Aeroponic systems: Please contact us  for more information as all systems and crops differ.

Application Frequency: The frequency of application also plays a role in preventing potential damage. Over-fertilizing—even with diluted solutions—can lead to an accumulation of nutrients in the soil over time, which may eventually cause harm.

  • Recommended Schedule: For most plants, applying diluted RAPHA-groW™ 100 (vermicast extract) every two weeks during the growing season is sufficient. In cooler months or for less demanding plants, monthly applications may be adequate.

Environmental Factors:

Environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity can influence how well plants absorb nutrients from fertilizers like RAPHA-groW™ 100 (vermicast extract). During hot weather (e.g., temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius), plants may be more susceptible to stress from over-fertilization.

  • Soil Moisture Considerations: Ensuring that the soil has adequate moisture before applying any fertilizer can help mitigate risks associated with nutrient burn.

Conclusion:

In summary, while RAPHA-groW™ 100 (vermicast extract) concentrate has many benefits for plant health and growth, improper use—particularly through insufficient dilution or excessive application—can indeed lead to nutrient burn. Therefore, always dilute the extract appropriately and monitor your plants’ responses after fertilization.
